Podcasts

I read the article about the podcasts that are being used in a college to let the students replay a lecture they may have missed or need to go back over. The teacher formats it to a mp3 player thus the students can take it with them to watch whenever they want to. This seems like it may be a great idea to use with students that are absent from school. I am still not technologically advanced and once I read a blog it disappears off my aggregate so I can’t remember the college it took place at. I am interested to see if attendance to class declines because they can watch it later. That would be one of the draw backs that I would need to figure how to avoid if it was done in high school.
