I know that I have blogged a bunch about the Tornado, but that is what is happening in my life and the lives of many others. I went out and took pictures today of some of the area that I was helping to clean up. I thought you might be interested in just what little I took a picture of. These pictures are from just one small road that got hit. This is mostly tree damage that you can see from the pictures. A lot more houses were damaged in Gaslight Park and Nolen trailer court. I’ll post more as I get them while I am helping clean up after the destruction.
These pictures were taken 5 days after the tornado hit. A lot of the roads were covered with power lines and trees so they have mostly just cleared the roads. As you can see lots of trees are down and have been cut up and placed by the side of the road. We’ve been going in and trying to help clean up the trees from peoples yards.

Hi Barbara. In what area do you live? Here in Jeffersonville, KY we weren’t affected too badly except for a lot of downed trees and maybe a barn or storage building here and there. I, too, was without power for a while. I agree with you in that going through something like this; you really begin to see what is important. Family and survival become foremost in your mind, I think. One doesn’t realize how much we rely on electricity and other modern conveniences until we are without them. I hope no one was hurt too badly where you are and hope everything is getting back to normal.

Rachel, I live kind of between BowlingGreen and Owensboro, but more to the west. We are still out of school now for the weather. I hope we get back to school soon before summer gets here because I heard that spring is bringing more tornados.
